For admissions to the Merit Business School’s Traditional MBA program track, applicants must meet the following eligibility requirements:
- Have a regionally or nationally accredited Bachelor’s degree (or an International equivalent).
- Demonstrate proficiency in the English Language, if the undergraduate degree came from a non-English language institution
- Submit a complete application, transcripts and any required fees
Most applicants have at least three years of relevant work experience and a background in basic business concepts. This can be demonstrated with a current resume or CV and personal statement. Unofficial transcripts and scores are accepted for initial review. Official transcripts will be required prior to start of classes.
GMAT or GRE test scores are not required if you have at least three years of business experience. If you have fewer than three years of experience, you may be required to submit additional test scores.
Note: Students are not required to have an undergraduate major in business in order to apply. Merit welcomes applicants from a variety of backgrounds and disciplines.
Students applying for the online Executive MBA track must further demonstrate that they have 7 years of professional business experience, at least 3 of which were in a managerial role.
All candidates considered for admission to the MBA program will be evaluated on the basis of their academic qualifications, work experience, personal statement, application, and resume. Optional or required test scores will also be evaluated.
International students are welcome to apply for admission to Merit and should follow the general steps outlined in the admissions process for international students. All classes are held in English, and international students will need to demonstrate English-language proficiency.
