Am I required to take the GMAT or GRE to enroll at Merit Business School?
No. GMAT test results are optional unless you have fewer than 3 years of work experience. Merit accepts U.S. and International students who have earned at least a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university and can show relevant work experience. There are additional requirements to be admitted to the online Executive MBA tracks. Please contact us for more information.
Do I have to travel to location in order to take classes or exams?
No. All MBA classes are offered online, and exams are taken in the online classroom. Students are not forced to travel or be on location at any time during their studies and can participate in all class activities from the comfort of their home or work and at times that fit their schedule.
Is Merit Business School accredited?
Merit is provisionally licensed by the Arizona State Board for Private Postsecondary Education to offer MBA degrees.
Do you offer federal financial aid?
Merit offers student payment plans to fit almost any budget. For qualified applicants, a Student Ambassador Scholarship Program is also available to students from lower income countries, which can cover a part of the tuition costs. Merit does not accept Title IV Federal Student Financial Aid at this time.
Can I enroll in the MBA program even if I am not planning on becoming an entrepreneur?
Absolutely! The business knowledge and leadership skills that are taught in the online MBA program are transferable to all types of businesses and careers. Projects that are integrated into the curriculum to further the business development of entrepreneurs can easily be converted to relate to any business situation.
Can I attend the program if I work full time?
Yes.The Merit online MBA program was designed for working adults around the world. Working students participate daily in the Merit Global Learning Portal, sharing their work experiences with other classroom members.
The online business program is designed to be offered asynchronously so that students can complete their assignments at times that are convenient to them. In addition, the Merit faculty is always available by telephone, email, synchronous chat or webinars.
I’m not from America and English is not my first language. Should I be concerned?
Merit Business School works with working-adult students from around the world. The online classroom and American-style MBA curriculum is enhanced by diverse business students on every continent. It’s what makes Merit such a special place.
English is the language of instruction, and you will be held to high standards. However, if you achieved acceptable scores on your English-language exams required for your application, you will have a good chance of success at Merit Business School.
